This rent vs. buy calculator estimates the property tax for your Washington state zip code. For other states, it uses a default value. You enter your mortgage data in the Buy tab and your rent data in the Rent Tab. The Comparison tab displays the buy vs. rent costs over a duration of 30 years. The slider menus allow for dynamic changes to the home price, rent cost and year that youll sell your house. The results are displayed at the bottom of the screen.
